Meet Kelly -
The Rewilder.
Kelly Paul’s business, Phoenix Rising Flowers, grew from her love of animals. Always a tad woodsy and beachy and a little bit outdoorsy (traits that led her to stints in the New South Wales Mounted Police and to New Zealand as a zoo guide), she became interested in conservation and rewilding landscapes for fauna.
Old Soil, New Life.
When Kelly and her husband Kelvin Paul, bought their 500-acre property in the drought of 2018, the ground was crying. Kelly got dreaming and reading (all the right books), planting, watering and nurturing. ‘Til (slowly) the bush telegraph got chattering and with shrubs to feed off and trees for nests, the birds and animals moved in.
Sow Your Seeds
Kelly believes she may just have found the simplest way to save the planet. Get grounded. Get your hands in the dirt. If you plant it they will come. Stop chasing your dreams. Sow your seeds in your own backyard and your dreams for the wild will come to you.
Lose Yourself In Nature.
“Nature always seems trying to talk to us as though she had some great secret to tell. And so she has.”
- John Lubbock
